In order to determine your needs and the level of infestation, we will send a highly-trained bed bug inspector to your home, apartment, work place, movie theater, hotel, or wherever you may be noticing the signs of a possible bed bug infestation. Upon completion of a thorough inspection, Antac Pest Control’s bed bug inspectors will recommend either a chemical treatment or a non-chemical treatment to rid your area of bed bugs.
Non-Chemical Method (Most Effective)
The best plan of action for bed bugs in any situation is to use a heat application to the infested areas and in some cases to an entire structure. Watch the news video below of bed bugs and a heat treatment being performed by a pest control company in Ohio. This company utilized the heat treatment method for eradicating the bed bug population. Antac Pest Control will be utilizing the same techniques outlined in the news video below.
Chemical Methods
|

Full-Structure Fumigation (Equally Effective to full-structure HEAT)
The full-structure fumigation for bedbugs requires the owner/occupant vacate the building for 2 1/2 days. Perishable items must be sealed in bags provided by Antac. Indoor plants must be removed if the owner/occupant would like the plants to survive. Exterior vegetation should be trimmed away to allow a 6'' gap between the wall of the structure and the plants. Pets are to be away from the home the same amount of time as humans. Gas to the home will be shut off during the fumigation, arranged by Antac. The owner/ occupant is responsible for calling the gas company to turn the gas back on. Please give your gas company at least 48 hours notification.
Upon return, there is no need to wipe counter tops down, wash clothing or dishes. Just unpack your perishable items and go back to normal life.

Liquid Chemical Method
In order to determine your needs and the level of infestation, we will send a highly-trained bed bug inspector to your home, apartment, work place, movie theater, hotel, or wherever you may be noticing the signs of a possible bed bug infestation. Upon completion of a thorough inspection, Antac Pest Control’s bed bug inspectors will recommend either a chemical treatment or a non-chemical treatment to rid your area of bed bugs.
Chemical methods are less expensive, yet they require much more preparation. Prior to the treatment, you MUST PREPARE by doing the following:
- Remove clutter off floors and away from walls.
- Launder bed linens, bedspread, etc. Leave bed
- Fabric items that are appropriate for washers and Dryers should be placed in dryer on medium-high to high heat for 20 minutes. (It needs to reach 120 degrees for 10 minutes to work properly)
- Remove ALL items from drawers (night stands, dressers, desk etc...) All drawers must be treated.
- Remove any items that are mounted to the walls (i.e. Pictures, mirrors, but leave them in the room.)
- VACUUM THOROUGHLY! (Every other day)
- Purchase protective encasements for mattress and box spring. (We offer a discounted rate on Protect-a-bed terry cloth top premium encasements with the bug lock zipper and seal)
